How is Faithfulness Manifested?

We know that God is faithful.  Everyday we see His faithfulness.  What are about us?  How do we show our own faithfulness to Him and to others?  The Bible tells us.

God's service - "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?" (Matthew 24:45).

Declaring God's Word - "But since you say, 'The oracle (burden, prophecy) of the LORD!' therefore thus says the LORD:  'Because you say this word, "The oracle of the LORD" and I have sent to you, saying "Do not say, 'The oracle of the LORD'" (Jeremiah 23:28).

Bearing witness - A faithful witness does not lie, But a false witness will utter lies (Proverbs 14:5).

Keeping secrets - A talebearer reveals secrets, But he who is of a faithful spirit conceals a matter (Proverbs 11:13).

Helping others - Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the brethren and for strangers (3 John 5).

Doing work - And the men did the work faithfully.  Their overseers were Jahath and Obadiah the Levites, of the sons of Merari, and Zachariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, to supervise (2 Chronicles 34:12).

Positions of trust - And I appointed as treasurers over the storehouse Shelemiah the priest and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah; and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah; for they were considered faithful, and their task was to distribute to their brethren (Nehemiah 13:13).

1 Corinthians 4:2 - Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.

Reproving others - Faithful are the wounds of a friend, But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful (Proverbs 27:6).

Two examples of enemies with deceitful kisses were Joab who took Amasa by the beard with his right hand to kiss him but held a sword in his left which he used to strike Amasa in his stomach. And Judas who betrayed Jesus with a kiss.  It was sign to those who went with him to arrest Jesus.  He had said to them, "Whomever I kiss, He is the One; seize Him."  Then immediately, he went up to Jesus and said, "Greetings, Rabbi!" and kissed Him.

Before deceiving Amasa with a kiss, Joab said to him, "Are you in health, my brother?" Amasa didn't notice the sword in Joab's hand.  After Judas kissed him, Jesus said to him, "Friend, why have you come?"  Then those who were with Judas came and laid hands on Him and took Him (2 Samuel 20:9; Matthew 26:48-50).

Conveying messages - Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest Is a faithful messenger to those who send him, For he refreshes the soul of his master (Proverbs 25:13).

Proverbs 13:17 - A wicked messenger falls into trouble, But a faithful ambassador brings health.

Smallest things - "He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.  There if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?  And if you have not been faithful in what is another man's, who will give you what is your own?" (Luke 16:10-12).
